Throughout the year, we over here at Haribon get graciously invited by schools and other organizations to become Resource Persons to introduce our advocacy to their own community. This is usually done through orientations, exhibits, or lectures where we get to share our experiences on the field, show off some photos, and invite the attendees to be part of the biodiversity movement.

These events are a essential part of our work as we we want to spread the word of the beauty, significance, and threats to Philippine biodiversity to as many people as possible.

Plus, seeing the faces of children, students, and even teachers light up when we show them the unique plants and animals our islands have to offer is a bonus that gives a sense of fulfillment that we have showed them something new to fight for.

The Learning Sessions were made in order to give our Members the tools and knowledge necessary to become Resource Persons of their own. A lot of things need to be done to help save Philippine biodiversity and the more people who know about it, the better and brighter our future becomes. Learning Sessions are opportunities to get up to date with what’s happening with the Philippine environment so that you too can spread the word to others.

Taught in an intimate and interactive manner, we’re proud to announce that the 2013 Learning Sessions will be co-facilitated by its own past participants. Just last year, these facilitators had little background when it comes to teaching biodiversity, but now they are our Conservation Ambassadors ready to share their experience to others.

Come join us for an afternoon of sharing and learning as the Finale of our alternative class begins on November 16, 2013. The Makeup Class will be from 10:00AM to 12:00PM while the main session on Activating Environmental Learning will be from 1:00PM-5:00PM, both at the Haribon HQ in Cubao.

The 2013 Learning Sessions are free for all Haribon Members. Not a yet a Member? Send us a message to see what we can do. To reserve a slot, simply sign up online by going to:
